When working with clients of the firm, associates are not just providing a service, they are building a relationship. The relationship between clients and legal professionals should be long lasting and should inspire clients to refer other connections.

The module will provide a context within which newly qualified lawyers can assess and analyse the skills and values expected of a junior lawyer to develop the commercial and professional mindset to enable them to become a business focused legal advisor. It will assist the transition from trainee to newly qualified lawyer and the greater challenges and expectations that follow as your career develops.

This module is aimed at newly qualified lawyers.

  • Factors with a negative impact on client relationships
  • What to do when client relationships appear to be going wrong?
